Marcus A. Lund Writer of Fiction and Non-fiction

Marcus Lund is a writer of fiction and non-fiction. He lives in Oakland, California, where he is an MFA student at Mills College. He is happy to have had his work published in a variety of venues, including 34th Parallel, Boneshaker: A Bicycle Almanac, Xenith Magazine, Bad Futurist, Brink Literary Magazine, and Skate[Slate] Longboarding Magazine. He is currently working on his first novel.
Marcus Lund was born in Portland, Oregon, the son of a teacher and a salesman. In high school, he was part of a small teen editorial board that wrote opinion pieces for Salem, OR’s newspaper, The Statesman Journal, and was given the opportunity to interview Oregon’s then governor, Ted Kulongoski. He studied English and creative writing at Portland State University. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Arts, he wrote magazine pieces and short stories and cooked at a pizza shop. He moved to Oakland, California in August of 2011 with his partner, violinist Stella Roshi-Moles, and their dog, Iris.
